Why the price varies from $3,800 to $5,000
Each kitten is evaluated as it grows: color and pattern (silver, black smoke and rare colors are in higher demand), size and bone, facial structure and ear tufts, coat quality, and temperament. Two kittens from the same litter can differ by $1,000 for these reasons. Rarely, a kitten still available after 3 months may be reduced.

Deposit and payment
A $500 deposit places you on the waiting list and is applied to your kitten's price. Reserving a specific kitten takes a 50% deposit, due within 24 hours after Kate approves your application; deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another kitten until your kitten is 2 months old. Why not cheaper?
A $1,500 "Maine Coon" kitten is usually a mixed breed, an unregistered litter, or a scam. A real Maine Coon from health-tested, TICA-registered parents costs the breeder thousands in genetic testing, echocardiograms, vet care and 12–16 weeks of raising — before any profit. Our price is in the middle of the Maryland market ($4,000–6,000 for comparable catteries) and includes an HCM guarantee twice as long as the standard one.
