Kitten or Retired Cat? Retired breeder/show cats do make excellent pets, but it takes a bit of patience. These cats are used to living in the cattery as one of a larger group. Individual attention is sometimes a bit overwhelming to them, but in time, they can't get enough. When bringing them home, treat them as you would a kitten, confine them to a small area (bathrooms are best), when you are not home to be sure they are using the litter box appropriately in their new surroundings. Spend a few minutes "making friends" daily, scratching, petting, talking to them - even if they aren't asking for it. While kittens adjust in just 2 days, and adult will take 2 weeks. The advantages; price, show experience and titles, bathing experience, nail clipping/grooming experience, vet experience, crating/travel experience, manners, and litter box training already completed. In short you have a fully trained and usually shown kitty, it just takes more time to "make friends" with him/her.

Our Adult cats are top quality breeding cats that have had litters of kittens and then are spayed and ready to go to their loving permanent pet homes.

Nardia is an absolutely gorgeous blue smoke Maine Coon with a soft, plush coat and that true wild, majestic look everyone dreams about. She is a big, heavy, impressive girl with strong bone structure and a powerful build — exactly what people look for in a Maine Coon.

Unfortunately, we were never able to get a litter from her. Nardia experienced a hormonal imbalance, and even if she ever became pregnant, she would not be able to carry kittens to term. For this reason, we decided to retire her early so she can enjoy the loving companion life she truly deserves.

Nardia is incredibly sweet, expressive, and very talkative — she loves to “chat” with her people. She enjoys attention and likes being near you, though she’s not a big fan of being held. At the same time, she is always happy to be petted and loves gentle affection.

Despite her size, her personality is still very much like a kitten. She is playful, curious, and full of energy, and she absolutely adores playing. Toys, feathers, tunnels — she enjoys all of it and brings a lively, joyful energy into the home.

However, please keep in mind that Oleandra has been part of a breeding program and did not grow up in the same environment as our home-raised kittens.
